Friendly Games - PJ

Been having friendly games for the past few weeks. Played against Innova and Serangoon JCs. We managed to win both schools. A 6-point win over Innova In the case for Serangoon, they had recreational and competitive teams. It was a 49-point trashing over against the recreational team, and a 20+ point win over the competitive one. Played in all the games so far mentioned. PJ will be playing against United World College (Dover) on Monday. I've great faith in team PJ. We're the strongest!!

Didn't make an impact against Innova, but made some minor contributions against Serangoon during the competitive match. The recreational game was a pushover.. so i considered it as a warm-up only (only the J1s played) Hope i can make some impact against UWC.

Well, the results are out for the O' lvls and i scored a (19-4) L1R5. Luckily i can still stay in the JC. I'll be staying in PJ no matter what score i achieve anyway. Haha..

Life in the 3-month course is so BORING!! Oh well, hope after this PAE period, it'll be much better. I hope to have real lessons, and also not having classmates who drag lessons.. especially by wasting time by asking stupid questions. I want to study and learn.. If they do not wish to learn, they can skip lessons.. Why drag the rest of us down? I do not wish to see them after PAE.. Get out of my life!

Gaming is so boring nowadays.. Gonna cut it down to only weekends le.. Goodby3 to my beloved games! Bball will not leave my life though.. hehe

Time to sleep.. Haha!! ManU lost to Liverpool by one goal in the FA Cup.

Whoa.. Chinese New Year was fun! I spent mine in Malaysia. My dad is a Malaysian, yeah so..

In Malaysia, i didn't actually have fun throughout. I brought some of my assignments to do some read-up and tutorials. I managed to complete all of them in one day though.. Thus my other three days were of fun.

Basically, i had a reunion dinner with my grandma and relatives. It's been a long time since i've seen them, and they've really changed a lot. The naughty ones became more matured.. the rebellious became more obedient, except with more colours on their hair.. and everyone become taller than me!! *traumatized

Of course, the usual routine.. gambling! I managed to win RM$1000 on the 1st day, how lucky! However, i lost RM$1450 the next day.. Overall, a lost of RM$450.. sobz ..Gambling is not about winning or losing, but it's about having fun. I was addicted to it at a point of time, therefore lost the 1k i earned. Well, quarrelled with my sis for my 'bad' attitude towards her.. She has washed hands over me, in order words, don't care about me le. Oh well...

Sigh, the holidays were too short. Time past real quick, and it's Wednesday already. Time to return back to school. Oh well, needa switch back from my holiday mood to the study gear. Oh ya, i heard that the O' Level results will be released on Monday, 6th February.. how exciting .. hope i'll score this time round.

Ahh... damn tired. I've training tomorrow and on Friday. I ran 4.4km today, and i'm damn tired.. so goodnite.

School

End of the third week of schooling.. really exhausted from the lectures, tutorials and projects. Luckily, managed to complete them before Chinese New Year! No need to work during my trip in Malaysia le, haha. I'll be going to Malaysia from the 27th Jan to 2nd Feb.

School is rather fun, except for the tormenting works that were given.. Made many new friends, especially the people from my class 06S07. They are a bunch of crazy people.. finally, i managed to find an environment that i can blend in =P I'm currently taking H2 Mathematics, Chemistry and Econmics, and H1 Biology. The transition from Secondary school work to College work was really difficult to handle. Though the same things were taught again, but they were of a higher difficulty.. Initially, i thought Biology was going to be a piece of cake, but when i looked at the notes.. i was speechless ..

CCA has started, and i joined Basketball! In Pioneer, basketball is considered a merit sport, therefore we've many priviledges over other CCAs. During the trials, i wasn't selected into the team immediately for there were 6 J1s who were better than me. Now, i have a chance to fight a place with them for i'm officially posted to the CCA. What really boost my confidence was my performance today during training. The J1s were asked to play a 5-on-5 match. In the match, i managed to score 15 points out of 25 points(target score) Of course, without the help of my teammates, i couldn't have done it. Truthfully speaking, i think i've improved. I'm now more aggressive i guess.. Hope i can sustain in future trainings.

Ahh.... 2kg more and i'll be considered overweight. How is that possible?! Think i need to stick back to my routine that i had during secondary 2, that is to jog frequently and go gym twice a week. Hopefully, i can maintain my 'slender' figure.. haha ..

Chinese New Year is nearing, wish everyone will receive a lot of Ang Paos (red packets). Those gambling, hope u guys can make a huge winning. Of course, hope u guys will enjoy this long break. Happy Chinese New Year!!

YEAH!

No idea whether this is a good news or a bad one.. i'm now a YEAH! mentor. I'll be helping out in council meetings which will be carried out by the students in the school YEAH! council. Basically, i'll be helping in Tanglin Secondary and Nan Hua High. Hopefully i can help out in Kent Ridge as well, all the pretty mei mei there.. ^^ haha

Today, YEAH! held a council course for various schools in the South-West district. About 15 schools turned for this activity. It was to help the students to develop confidence and leadership. There was a slight twist to it, as the students were to mix with other students from different schools to form a committee. There, they would work together as a team to complete tasks, and also to play games. During the session, all the students grouped together. I managed to even psycho the shy ones to join in the activity (so inspirational!) Many tasks were given to the students, but the students managed to came up with innovative/creative ideas to complete their assignments.

Laughter could be heard from everywhere in the room. This proves that the students had fun as well as they bonded with one another during the session. At least, the objectives of the activity were accomplished.

Well, at least i had an enjoyable 6-hr activity today. If not, i doubt i would just waste this valuable time to play games only.. (sense of satisfaction) I hope i can really inspire the school councils that i'm handling, and i hope all the activities done would be a success.

Hmm.. tired sia. Going to bed. I've another meeting tomorrow, Clementi YEC. By3 By3.

PJC Orientation

[Trivor]
PJC's Orientation has ended. It was a very fun experience. I had a lot of fun as well. Sadly.. it ended too quickly.

Well, all the J1s were grouped into 6 different clans and 31 OGs. The clans were Trivor, Elkins, Inyo, Walla, Keala and Nootka. Well, there was a serious clan rivalry between Trivor and Nootka. Reason.. no idea about it. However, at the end of the day, the clans were tossed aside and Pioneer J1s were formed during the camp fire on Monday. We received our PJC badge on that day as well, pinned on our shirt by our OGLs.

My group's OGLs were very nice and fun to be with, especially Sharhana. My OGLs were Ying Peng, Ying Huey and Sharhana. Ying Peng is a nice guy, that's why he was often bullied by the J1s (hehe ^.^) Ying Huey is a very soft-spoken and sweet girl, unless she starts to laugh.. she becomes another person. As for Sharhana, she often entertains us by doing funny actions and saying non-sensical stuffs, but we had great laughs.

My OG group comprised of students coming from different schools over the country. Built bonds and made a new network of friends. These bunch of friends were really fun to be with.

Esther: my dance partner, nice and soft-spoken girl
ChaoYi: quiet guy.. but rather spontaneous too
Hamidah: led us in the dance performance during camp fire, good leader

All in all, the part i enjoyed about most during the orientation was the campfire. Saw performances put up by the other clans, and they were fantastic. Totally awesome! Wish i was just as talented.. sobz .. Most importantly was the dance. Learnt two Pioneer Dance, 'Let's Get Loud' and 'Time to Disco'. Enjoyed the 'Time to Disco' dance, which originated from Bollywood. Haha, had a lot of fun during the dance. If i have the opportunity, i wish to perform this during CNY celebration in Nan Hua.

Oh well, time to snooze liao. Got lecture tomorrow. By3 By3.

Just got back from my 11-day holiday in China. It was freezing cold.. brr .. the highest temp. was -15 degree celsius and the lowest was -30 degree celsius! How to live?! I wore very thick clothings and also a thick jacket, but it didn't help much. I was still shivering.. (p.s. i didn't shower for 7 days ^.^) However, i managed to get to see SNOW, falling from the sky. The journey was very fun too.

I went with a tour group, together with my dad and mum. Upon reaching the airport, i felt very HOT. The airport didn't turn on the air-conditioner. However, when i stepped out of the building, a reflex action took place and i found myself back in the building once again.. It was so cold! It was not the coldest of places though.. (by the way, i was at the North-East region , therefore the further up the map we go, the colder it will be..) I ran into the toilet to slip into my long-john(sp error?), wore a thick shirt and a thick jacket. Seriously, i'm not exaggerating..

My group consists of 2 couples, 5 families and a 6-friends cluster. The cluster of friends were all aunties. As we all know, typical aunties would chit-chat loudly, no matter where the location is. They would also talk about a particular topic for hours. Sadly, they belong to the typical-gang. They were damn fack-ing noisy. I'll never fail to hear their voices on the bus, restaurants tourist attractions and even on the AEROPLANE! They are really annoying, even the other families agree with me ^.^ Gladly, the tormenting 11-day journey is over. Ironically, the trip was fun. Perhaps without them, the holiday will be peaceful and more enjoyable!

At all the tourist sights, there was snow and ice. It was white everywhere! Managed to buy many things in China as well, real and pirated, all slashed till two-thirds of the marked price. I was thrilled when i bought a MP4, a device which can watch movies, listen to music etc. Mine had 40Gb memory space. MP4 is not in the market yet, so perhaps i'm one of the few individuals owning one in Singapore ^.^

I spent my Christmas in China. There was snow, reindeer, large Christmas trees, food etc. Had a Christmas dinner in the hotel with other tour groups from Singapore. However, it was a simple dinner, no form of entertainment..

The food in China was.. salty. It's not really surprising for China's food are often salty and oily, in other words unhealthy. Not meant for people with high-blood pressure. The meals i had were to the extremes, either delicious or disgusting. The worst i had was in an empty restaurant where the food was both salty and oily. The chef of the restaurant even spat on the floor of the restaurant. Ironically, they had a sign claiming for their hygeine.. think it has expired.. Had a few bites and left the restaurant. It was awful, not meant for humans to consume.

I went to different districts in China, therefore had changes in the tour guides as well, 4 ladies and 2 men. Sadly, only one female tour guide was beautiful.. ^,^ hehe

Made new friends during the journey. 2 Indo-Chinese, brother and sister, and 1 ten-yr old from Unity Primary. Had snow-ball fights with them. I spent most of my time with the male Indo-Chinese. Played bowling and pool. He was a master in pool. Lost to him 5 times out of 8 games.. Won him in all 14 rounds of bowling though ^.^

Time flew past quickly and year 2006 has begun. 3 more days and school shall commence once more. Indeed, time really past quickly, it's time for bed. Good night, by3 by3

Well, today's the 5th day of me working at Venture Era. Been really busy recently.. therefore had no time to blog for the past few days.

The job is really challenging and exciting. It's a Multi-Level Marketing Company. I've learn many different marketing skills during the 5 days of training. The people in the office are really friendly and helpful. When i have problems, i'll definitely approach them for i know they will help me instead of laughing at my stupidity.. haha. My uplines, Mr Thomas and Jie Ying, are really helpful during my 5 days of work there. They did all sorts of things to ensure that i have absorbed all the things that were taught. Lots of thanks to them.

Tomorrow will be my first appointment with a prospect. Hopefully, or should i say definitely, i will close this deal. Upon closing it, i'll have my pay and promotion. ^.^ Fight!!

Woots.. found out the JC that i've been posted to for my 3 month course.. it's Pioneer JC, Science stream! Yay.. can play under Beng Chee(ex-Nan Hua coach) again, though it's rather stressful at times ^.^ I hope that by entering JC, my school-life will be better.

Today it's the Bi-Monthly Interaction meeting for YECs in the South-West district. Saw a lot of old and new faces from different YEC. Managed to get to know new friends through this BNI, also had a nice and long chat with the old kah kees.

Today's activity was quite simple. All of us, the people who attended the meeting, had refreshments first as some of the respective representitives came late.. The food was fantastic, especially the chicken wings!! There was sushi too. Sadly, i don't like sushi, so i did not manage to enjoy it. Most of the people ate and interacted with one another. Can say that this BNI was quite successful. After the feast, we went into a well-furnished conference room. The design was really beautiful. In the room, we had a self-introduction session. Then, Yuhua YEC, the host of the event, gave speeches regarding the upcoming year 2006 and ways where YECs can strengthen the bonds between one another. Some YECs came up with ideas and plans in order to make this possible.

After the session, i managed to round up some of the chairmans, and also some of the members. We had a great chat, with topics not relating to 'politics'. Had great laughs, and also managed to discuss about the 'greatness' of the working world.

Whew.. many friendly games were prepared for Nan Hua High during these holidays. Well, i'm not abit surprise as the coach is new, and the batch really needs experience. Recently, i officiated quite a few games for Nan Hua. Apparently, Nan Hua lost every game.. pathetically. -Sighz- Guess they really need to make full use of this month to polish their skills. The B'Division Competition will begin at the second week of January. All the best guys!

Hmm.. the new coach is rather interesting. He can coach, scold and joke atthe same time during a game. Really amazed. He coaches quite well. The plays he teaches are totally different from our previous coach. Well, everyone has their own style. Sadly, i couldn't experience it. I prefer his method than the stamina-based training, though my stamina has improved from the training.. hehe ..After talking to him for some time, he is really Beng! However, i give total respect to him, for he is indeed a wonderful coach. Oh ya, Nan Hua has a new Assistant Coach, who is the current coach of Tong Whye Basketball Club. ^^ .Opportunity has arrived! I'm gonna ask him whether i'm eligible to train with the team. *praying hard, pls help!*

Oh ya, i was also recommended by coach to take the referee course. He claims i'm good in being a referee. Hopefully, it's the truth, haha! Feel really honoured!

Class chalet of 409, 2005 is over. Well, i had quite a pleasant time with my classmates. I had lots of fun with them. I had a better understanding of them too ^^. Of course, there were ups and downs during the 1st class chalet..

Sadly, not the whole class turned up. Even those who submitted their names didn't even inform us that they weren't coming.. Thus, those who went had to pay extra cash for the chalet and barbeque. Pissed. The room booked for the class was also not spacious enough to squeeze the people who went to the chalet. Think only about 18 people slept in the room each night, for some went home at night. However, it was still stuffy and movement was also quite impossible for our bags also took up quite a large amount of space. There wasn't enough food for the people who turned up for the barbeque as well. What was infuriating is that those who insist on not paying for the barbeque actually ate the food that was prepared. Most of us didn't have our share of the food, though some of us do deserve not to eat them. This is due to as some carried on playing mahjong and x-box instead of going down to help out or makan the food.. Another thing was that there was an obvious seperate of people in the chalet. There were three groups, with one belonging to the passive group. Well, not much class spirit was seen here.

Ironically, i also had happy moments there too. I played street basketball with a bunch of the athlete-typed people in the class, which was rather uncommon as i seldom mingle with them. I usually felt left out in 409. Surprisingly, the one that was the fittest among the whole lot, Kevin, actually suffered from dehydration. Cannot blame him for the water there was rather expensive. Non of us comsumed sufficient fluids during the stay. After playing basketball, we went to the playground. It was really fun. Managed to relive the experience of our childhoods. I gambled with them too. I managed to turn out to be the biggest winner in the chalet ^^, both in mahjong and poker. However, the cash earned still wasn't sufficient to last me the whole chalet.

Overall, it was still quite enjoyable!! It is glad to hear that there will be another chalet. It was guaranteed that it'll be better than this one. I'm looking forward to it. Now, i'm really exhausted for i didn't catch enough sleep. So.. by3by3.. zzz

Graduation was rather enjoyable except towards the end.. will talk about it at the later part..

Today is my Graduation Day Dinner. I was really excited about it. Thus i went to Jurong Point to pick up some Retro style clothes, for the dress-code was Retro. Spent about $150 in total for a shirt and jacket. I also highlighted my hair and styled it too.

Upon reaching the hotel, i saw only a few people. I was amazed as they did NoT wear Retro-styled clothes. Well, think they prefer to be comfortable. Then, one by one more people arrived. Of course, the dressing for the people entering were getting better and better, except for some who wore CasuaL..

The dinner was delayed for the decorations in the ballroom were not finished yet. A lot of people crowded outside of the door. Some were busily taking photographs with their friends, while others were just either chatting or idling.

Finally, when it was ready, everyone rushed in to get the best seats. Sadly, my class got the sides, therefore we cannot see the screen. Thus everytime when something is played on the screen, we had to move from our seats to take a look at it. Tiring sia..

Food served was not fantastic. There wasn't plenty for everyone to share, and it wasn't filling at all.. Overall, it sucks.

Towards the end, there was this Mr NH and Ms NH thingy. I was shocked to be chosen as one of the candidates for Mr NH. This was decided by applause from the audience. When it was my turn, it was dead silence.. This only shows one thing.. That is why i feel so fuck'ed up. Even my class didn't cheer for me.. It was really surprising.. Oh well.. .. .. .. ..

Due to that, left the area early. They were dancing crazily at that time. I didn't join in.. I was really upset. Though some came to console me, but it didn't help. The damage was done, the scar will remain forever.. How unforgettable this night really was.

Ahh.. this holiday is driving me crazy!! I feel so lost. I thought i will have an enjoyable time after my examinations, but it proved otherwise! Doing the same thing everyday.. Pia game -PS2 and WC3 , watch television programmes , sleep , play basketball- It's as though i have no life..

Sighz.. gonna get part-time at a factory. Doing this behind my dad's back, hopefully he doesn't find out.. Really bored in holidays, so intend to work and also earn $ (^.^) Heard that the pay is quite attractive too. hehex

I'll also be joining an outside basketball. Will be going for the trials of Tong Whye. Hopefully can get to train with them, and also get a jersey. I really wish to play in this Youth Cup Tournament, under-18. I want a medal!

Woo.. it's all over! The ordeal is finally over! Time to relax and have fun!

Well, i don't what i am gonna do for this long break, before the start of my three month course. Found a part-time job, but it's not possible for me to use my entire break for that.. sigh. I've decided to help out wih NH's bball team.

Hopefully, they can produce better results, unlike us seniors who faltered in the first round (pain!). I will be an assistant to the current coach, he's quite beng too! He walks and speaks like one. When i first saw him, i was given a black face by him. The next time i saw him, he actually joked with me. Very surprised. He's quite entertaining too, always bullying Edwin and DaWei (haha). He's very strict and stresses on discipline, abit scary too.. Even though it's sad to see BengChee leave the NH, but i'm glad he thinks this in a positive manner (sobz).

Other than doing the above activities.. doubt i've anything to do le.

The papers were fairly simple, except for Social Studies and Physics. The others were manageable. A glance and the answer soon appeared in my mind. Perhaps it's luck ba. I started my revision late, so.. it's really luck. Hope i can ace in most of my subjects, and go to ACJC.

Damn bored now. I was so excited and looked forward for this day to come. It has indeed came, but now i've found that i've nothing much to do. Warcraft III is with my brother, who is in Australia. What to do? Cannot pia Dota at home.. Guess i'll have to go to Aloha le. Hola!

Nothing to do le. Gonna snooze now. I'll be officiating a friendly game between NH and SengKang Sec tmr at 9am. (why so early?!!) by3by3

Maths..

Woo.. A Maths' Qns are a torture.. especially the part where I need to draw graphs, ln and lg graphs.. Rather troublesome. What made matters worse was differentiation and integration regarding sin x, cos x and tan x, very complicated! I really hope to score at least a B4 this time round for A Maths. However, the qns in the ten year series were not as challenging as the papers given by the school.. is this the standard of O' Levels? If so, then I 'happy liao'.

Sighz.. cannot curb my hunger of touching my PS2 and computer.. guess I'll have to do more qns while watching EPL (=. haha .=) Well, i managed to complete this blogsite as much as possible. There are still some parts that needs to be improved.. will do that when on 18th November, the end of the Os.

Damn.. Chelsea won 4-2 over Blackburn. I was elated when the scoreline was tied at two during half-time.. How I wish they would drop points..! Anyway, they lost one Cup Title already, haha, to think they were hoping of sweeping the Cups. (EPL)

Ooo.. Miami Heats has grown stronger! Inclusion of new veterans like Antoine Walker, James Posey and Jason Williams. Shaq and Dwyane Wade has made a huge impact last season. With new superstars addition, guess it'll be a total domination by the Heats in the upcoming season. Guess only Detroit, Phoenix and San Antonio are the only teams to match them. I've always been a fan of Shaq, the Diesel. (NBA)

Well, the O' level practicals are over... It'll be some time before the actual papers will begin - 2weeks time - Guess i'll need to make full use of this precious time to buck up. If i were to miss this chance, i'll have to wait for 365days before i can do it again.
Biology Practical was quite simple.. hehex ..it's almost similar to our prelim paper, except for the part that we needa use a PeN KnifE to cut a ThicK carrot. I was quite surprise when i entered the lab, and saw a carrot and an onion on the table. "What the.. it's like dejavu.." The funniest part about this was that someone managed to cut his finger with it... unlucky person. Managed to barely finish it, left 2marks unanswered. Damn that carrot.. took so much of my precious time. Why didn't the school provide a better cutting tool... sighz
Chemistry Practical was the simplest in my whole schooling years. The questions were very 'helpful', guiding me through the paper. Titration was very simple, took about 10min to finish it. I managed to obtain the correct answer, 24.6 cubic centimetre.. by the way, different schools will have different results as the answers are provided by the respective schools, and not Cambridge.. phew.. The qualitative analysis was a piece of cake.. managed to get the answers, but one of my answers was wrong.. damn it!! The answers are Zinc, Lead and Silver.. I had Aluminium, Lead and Silver.. argh!! Well, it's over already, got to move on..
Physics Practical was a disaster. I actually forgot to bring my RuleR, it made matters worse when i needed to draw a graph! I managed to struggle through the paper though, left 10marks blank.. Guess it's either I strive hard for papers oen and two, or I do not use Physics in my aggregate. I think i would go for either.. it will open up another choice to select for my aggregate, unless I flunk it.. ChoY!(touchwood!)
2weeks is sufficient for me to study EacH subject per day. Time to strive, strive and strive. No more games for a month, guess I need to have a strong self-control, ahhhh! Just imagine a month without Basketball, will become rusty in the process too. Well, many people has considered me to be lousy, so i think it's alright. I will work harder after one month and make sure to shut the mouths of all the critics -you should know this yourself-
Today, generally, I studied Chemistry. I didn't spend a lot of time on it as the concepts are still fresh in my mind. Oh by the way, I'm using the technique taught by Mr. Ng (Operations Manager), and that is to study the last subject first. He claims that this has never failed him, therefore.. I shall use it! Most importantly, I'm the main factor that would affect this.. sighz. Currently, I'm very jealous of my juniors who are having their holidays NoW!

It's been a long while since i blogged. Made a comeback as i just wanna voice my views and feelings.. I cannot contain them any longer, i have had to let them out.

Well, my first post.. nothing to talk about really(it's 12.18am by the way)-yawnz-

As usual, preparing for my upcoming O' Level Examinations. In two weeks time, my practical examinations shall begin. Shouldn't have a problem with them though. Hope i wouldn't commit the same mistakes as i had in the past examinations.

Didn't actually do that splendidly for my prelims. Anyway, it's over. Guess i'll have to work on my finals. Gonna make that final sprint. The finishing line is just ahead, the only thing is whether i can get a medal out of it.

Wasted a lot time this year playing.. Sigh, if time travel was possible.. This year is the worst year of my 16 years of life. Haven't been successful in anything, be it academically or sports. Friendships have been torn apart too. Guess if i were to graduate, i'll start a new life in the college.
